Westwood Lacrosse Game Support Volunteers

Field Prep/Game volunteers include Field Prep volunteers and Game day volunteers. Field Prep volunteers help prepare the field prior to each home game. Field Prep is normally completed on the day of each home game or in some instances on the day prior to a home game. Game Day volunteers can sign up to help during each home game; the following  jobs require advance training:

• Game Day Administrator
• Table - Scoring
• Table - Spotting
• Table - Timing (not necessary for away games)
  
• Scoreboard (not necessary for away games)

We also need Game Day volunteers for each home game to handle water, endline coordination, videotaping, and photography. For additional information about Game Support volunteer duties, please email Bryan Buchan at bbuchan@mmm.com.  Parents  who volunteer for 5 games (Field Prep or Game Day) will fulfill the minimum volunteer requirements for the Game Support part of your volunteer requirement. The Field Prep/Game Volunteer Signup sheet hosted at Google allows parents to review the schedule and to sign up to volunteer to help with Field Prep or Games. CLICK HERE to access (editing allowed) the Field Prep/Game Volunteer Signup system (separate window). Please follow the instructions below to signup for Field Prep or Game Day positions:

• Select the day(s) and volunteer position(s) and type in your name.
• Please be careful NOT to type over any other volunteer name.
• Select a minimum of 5 games to meet the Game Support volunteer requirement.

After you initially sign up, please do not remove your name from the log. Please contact Bryan Buchan if you need to cancel a game you selected.

We do understand that things come up that may prevent you from fulfilling a game committment. So, we maintain a separate Field Prep/Game Volunteer Log which is updated throughout the year as volunteer game duties are performed. As a member of the Westwood Lacrosse Parents Club, you should have already received an initial email inviting you to register for our online volunteer system hosted by Google. Once you accept the invitation and register, you will be able to access the Volunteer Signup spreadsheet to select your games.
