Westwood Lacrosse

Welcome to the Club

The Westwood Lacrosse Parent's Club is an organization in which parents, friends, and students support and promote school spirit for the Lacrosse Team. As a club sport, the team is not supported by RRISD, but must rely on fund-raisers and parental/guardian involvement and dues. The Parent's Club is governed by a board of 5 voting directors elected annually. The team abides by the Parent's Club's Bylaws.

The liaison with Westwood High School is Ms. Sharon Cassady, the club's faculty sponsor.

Sharon is a long time teacher in RRISD and says she has "grown to appreciate the investments of time both students and parents put into activities outside of the school day. I support the idea that there is more than one arena where students can excel." She enjoys being a part of such a dynamic group, and sums it up perfectly: Lacrosse is a great game
