Town and Country Optimist Lacrosse
Westwood Lacrosse enjoys a special relationship with Town and Country Optimist's Lacrosse teams. The seniors on the current lacrosse team started playing together at T&C the first year the sport was offered by that organization (2002), and in subsequent years, T&C has provided exemplary teaching and coaching to dozens of Westwood lacrosse athletes. In 2005, Westwood teamed with UT Men's Lacrosse to offer a low-cost, full-day clinic specifically designed for T&C players (with a 2 player per coach ratio) as a way to provide a service back to this incredible youth sports association. The 2006 Clinic saw a 25% increase and 2007 is sure to be a sell-out.
