If you did not receive your merchandise at the Longhorn Shootout or are waiting for the gear bag, I have them at my house. Please contact Andi Tasset @ atasset@sbcglobal.net to make arrangements. Gloves will not arrive until late January. When they arrive I will pass them out at practices.
Trilogy Select Team Tryouts this weekend

Trilogy will be holding select team tryouts this weekend at Canyon Vista Middles School. This is a program that both Coach Blair and Coach Whelchel are deeply involved in. It gives the kids a chance to play in tournaments over the summer and get exposure to college coaches as well as play against some of the best players in the country. The program is run by Ryan Boyle and involves several professional players. Thanks to all the parents who made the hospitality tent a success. The hospitality tent is completely funded by the generous donations of parents. It allows all coaches, players and their parents a place to gather between games and grab a drink or snack. After teams are announced in January, I will be needing a Hospitality Coordinator for each team. If you are interested in this position, please contact Andi Tasset @ atasset@sbcglobal.net to get further information. Thank you again for donating coolers, tents, snacks, drinks and ice.

Please note we do not have the schedule for Sunday as it will be based on each teams performance on Saturday. There is a chance that each team could play three games on Sunday and once i have the schedule for Sunday I will send a text and post it to our site.

LONGHORN HOSPITALITY TENT

Having cold drinks, snacks and a place to congregate between games is appreciated by the players. I've put together a list of items we need for our tent. If it sounds like a lot, remember we have 70 boys participating in the tournament. Please contact me #947-9039 or atasset@sbcglobal.net if you would like to help out. The hospitality tent benefits all players, coaches and parents.
Water.....5-7 cases of small bottles (1 case is approx 35 bottles)
Gatorades ........10-12 packs (Smallest size, various flavors)
Power bars/granola bars...... 6-10 boxes
Beef jerky/Slim Jims........6 boxes
Cookies .......6 (1 doz each)
Variety of snack size chips ...........5 (comes in bags or boxes
I will need help putting up 3 tents and getting the snacks outs & drinks iced as well as taking down. Come join us.
Player Rosters for UT Tournament

All ELIGIBLE players have been assigned to a team roster (D1, D2 or JV) for this weekend's UT Tournament. As a reminder, the initial team assignments for the regaular season are subject to change. Final team assignments will be made near the end of January. Please visit OUR TEAM-ROSTERS section of our website late Monday evening or early Tuesday morning to review player team assignments for UT. In some instances our coaching staff may invite selected players to participate with more than one team over the weekend.
Reminder...The Westwood Lacrosse No Pass No Play Policy is the same as UIL or RRISD policy as outlined in the OUR TEAM-ACADEMICS section of our website. A roster of players is presented periodically to our school sponsor, who then checks the list at each six-week grading period. Based on the recent recap from Westwood, we do have players who are ineligible to participate this weekend. Players who are not assigned to one of our three team lists posted on the website are NOT eligible to play this weekend according to our current records for one of the reasons listed below:
- Ineligible due to injury - Dr. release required to play
- Ineligible due to missing player dues or required forms
- Ineligible due to grades
If you believe we have made a mistake or if you have questions regarding "Eligible" players, please contact Coach Evan or Teri Holmstrom via email. Finally, the UT tournament schedule for Saturday's games has been posted on their website at www.utlacrosse.com . See you this weekend at UT.
