CONGRATULATIONS to Rob & Betsy Fiedler and Charles Dittmer for coordinating the work days and designing the homecoming float theme. They couldn't have done it without the help of parent volunteers, John and Judy Butler, Brad Medford, Jim Stanley, Kim Clower and Brian & Elizabeth Vetter.
After eating hot dogs, the players enjoyed their workday by painting, taping and assembling the fighting ring. To view pictures of the float and homecoming parade CLICK HERE.

Player Survey -Possible Alumni Game-Nov 29 th

We recenlty sent an email to the parents of this year's registered players who were on last year's DI or DII teams. The email was a survey designed to determine if we have enough players from the last year's teams who would be interested in particpating in a game against our alumni. We are trying to schedule the game for Saturday, November 29th from 10 am to 11:30 am.
Since our team assignments will not be finalized until January this year, the coaching staff suggested we invite players from both the DI and DII squad from last year. We need to confirm we will have enough players from this year's group of players to be able to field a team to play our alumni. If you did not receive the initial email, please contact Mike Morenz at mmorenz@austin.rr.com As soon as we receive responses to the survey, we will determine if we will be able to continue the tradition of a lacrosse alumni game over Thanksgiving weekend. If so, we will proceed to contact our alumni with an invitation to participate.Used Lacrosse Equipmnet

Saturday, November 1 from 11 am to Noon at the Carwash
We have received numerous requests from parents interested in purchasing used lacrosse equipment. In response to these requests we are encouraging parents-players who have used equipment that they would like to sell to bring their gear to our car wash between 11 am and Noon on Saturday, November 1. We will designate an area on the sidewalk or in the parking lot near our car wash for parents-players selling equipment. Each parent-player selling equipment is encouraged to bring a small chair or table to display your gear for sale. Each family selling equipment is responsbile for selling your own gear. If you have equipment to sell, please plan on displaying your gear starting at 11 am and staying until Noon or until you sell your stuff. If you are looking for used lacrosse equipment, come visit our carwash between 11 and noon on Saturday, November 1.Car Wash -Sat Nov 1st - Please RSVP

The Westwood Lacrosse Annual Car Wash fundraising event is scheduled for Saturday, November 1, from 9 am to 3 pm at Walmart located at 620 and 183. Our normal Saturday team practice will be cancelled to allow all players to help at the car wash. Each player is expected to volunteer for one of the 3 hour shifts to help. Although players can select either shift to accommodate your schedule, we would like to encourage Freshman and Juniors to sign up for the morning shift (from 9 to Noon) and Sophomores and Seniors to sign up for the afternoon shift (from Noon to 3 pm).
Please RSVP to Teresa Knavel at tknavel@austin.rr.com or Lynn Morenz at mmorenz@austin.rr.com. Please make sure to include your son's name and which shift he plans to volunteer to help.
