Head Coach Justin Becker
Coach Justin Becker has been coaching in the Austin area since 2010. On the recreation / high school side he has been the Head Coach at Bowie, Cedar Ridge, Georgetown, and Round Rock prior to its merger with Westwood. While he was at Bowie, he returned the Bulldogs to the Super Regionals, mentored the teams first ever US Lacrosse All-American, and founded the Jr. Bulldogs. At the end of Coach Becker's tenure the Jr. Bulldogs had close to 150 players in its organization. While at Cedar Ridge Coach Becker led the program to their first ever win as a DI program snapping a 17 game losing streak that spanned over two and half seasons. Prior to coming to the merged Westwood program, Coach Becker was the Head Coach at Georgetown were he led the Eagles to five straight district Championship Games winning two of them and advancing to the Elite 8 in 2019. While at Georgetown, Coach Becker had the number 1 team in the state for two consecutive seasons 2018 and 2019.
In addition to being the Westwood Defensive Coordinator; Coach Becker is the Tomahawks Youth Director.
On the Club side, Coach Becker is the Director of UNRL Texas and the Blue Dogs. Additionally, Coach Becker is one of the UNRL National HS and Youth Team Directors. Prior to working with Team UNRL he was the owner and founder of Austin Elite Lacrosse. While running Austin Elite, one of his most cherished memories is winning the U13 IMG National Championship in 2016. Coach Becker had the number 1 club team in the state in 2023 and the number 2 club team in the state in 2024.
As a Cum Laude graduate from Elmira College in 2005 with a degree in Political Science & International studies, Coach Becker still holds the 7th place all-time leader in ground balls on the lacrosse team and was two-time All Empire 8 Honorable Mention Defender. Justin prepped at The Governor’s Academy in Byfield, MA.
Justin and his wife Allison are parents to three children, Dylan, Maddie and Lucy. His passion, love, and enthusiasm for growing the game and working with the next generation of players will be shared by all the Warrior families.
